What we cover
LOLER lifting inspections across Nottinghamshire
The county's lifting equipment is as varied as its industry: overhead and gantry cranes, jib and mobile cranes, hoists and winches, fork-lift and reach trucks, telehandlers, passenger and goods lifts, patient hoists, runway beams and lifting tables, and the slings, chains, shackles and eyebolts that rig the loads. All of it is within scope.
Across that spread the intervals are not uniform, and neither is the governing regime. Anything that lifts people, in a factory or a hospital, and every lifting accessory falls due at least every six months, other lifting equipment at least every twelve, and some items sit under LOLER while close cousins sit under PUWER. Keeping that straight across many different sites is the real task, so we hold each site's equipment on one schedule, sort every item to the correct regime and interval, and examine it independently of whoever maintains it.
