What we cover
LOLER lifting inspections across Tyne and Wear
The lifting equipment across the county runs from the very heavy to the everyday: yard and fabrication cranes, heavy mobile and crawler cranes, production hoists and line equipment, fork-lift and reach trucks, telehandlers, passenger and goods lifts, and the slings, chains, shackles and eyebolts that rig the loads. All of it is within scope.
What a county of this range needs is a single consistent standard applied to very different sites, so a riverside yard, an automotive cell and a distribution shed are each examined to the law and to their real duty rather than to whatever each happens to arrange locally. Lifting accessories and anything that lifts people fall due at least every six months across all of them, other equipment at least every twelve. We bring the whole county onto one approach, examine independently of whoever maintains the equipment, and report on each item by name.
